Meet the Founder
From a Class Project to a Community Vision
Hey, I’m Josh Ledda, and ReadyGolf actually started as a class project back in my senior year at Baylor University. It was for an entrepreneurship class, and at the time, it was just an idea—a dream to make golf more accessible, fun, and future-focused. I had no idea it would become something real.
Fast forward five years, and that classroom concept has turned into a full-blown business—right here in Waco, the city that’s been my home for nearly a decade.
Why Golf?
I picked up golf for the first time my freshman year at Baylor, and from that first swing, I was hooked. There’s just something about the game—something that keeps pulling you back. But I quickly realized that golf isn’t always easy to get into. It takes time, equipment, access, and sometimes a bit too much pressure.
Coming from a business background, I was fascinated by the numbers behind the swing—ball speed, club path, impact data. The science of improvement made me love the game even more. And that’s where the idea for ReadyGolf really started to take shape: a space where people could play the best courses in the world, use elite training tools, and feel totally at home doing it.
Why Waco?
It just made sense. Waco is where my love for golf started. It’s where ReadyGolf was dreamed up. And it’s a city full of students, families, athletes, and everyday people who deserve a fun, welcoming space to play the game on their terms.
